EDF Renouvelables has launched a crowdfunding campaign for the under-construction 23MW Champ Gourleau wind farm in the Bourgogne-Franche-Comte region of France.

With a total amount of €200,000, the fundraising will allow the local population to invest, via the Lendosphere platform, in the project.

Commissioning is scheduled for the end of 2021.
The fundraising is open until 15 September to all residents of Yonne and neighbouring departments.

EDF Renouvelables Burgundy-Franche-Comte regional manager Jennifer Menage said: “The Champ Gourleau wind farm is the result of close collaboration between the region and EDF Renouvelables.

“It demonstrates the strong commitment of local communities to participate in the energy transition.

“We are happy that, through crowdfunding, residents can get involved in the local development of renewable energies while benefiting from financial income from the project.”
